Up for sale is Carbon Based Designs Camper Van #001. This is a 2020 Dodge Promaster 1500 High roof with 136” wheelbase with under 50k miles. This van was originally used as delivery vehicle before I purchased it and converted it into a very sleek and simple to use camper van.

2020 Promaster details: All ProMaster vans are motivated by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that provides 280 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels making it very capable in winter conditions. Ram’s ProMaster can tow up to 6800 pounds and had a payload capacity of 4680 lbs.
Interior features: Ram’s base-model ProMaster comes with a 5.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, as well as a four-speaker sound system. Bluetooth phone connectivity is standard for hands-free calls, and there’s also Bluetooth streaming music on board. This van is the 136” wheelbase so its there smaller size van which limits what can be done inside the van in terms of space but we love the 136” because of its ease of driving, maneuvering, and parking which the protester can fit in a standard parking space.
Camper Van #001 Description: This van was built and designed with weight and ease of use in mind. All cabinets and countertops were made in house and cabinets are built with 1/2’ plywood to reduce weight and has oak laminate flooring for easy cleaning. Van is built with 5 upper cabinets for storage and kitchen items. 36” custom cabinet with 4 soft close drawers, custom black walnut countertop, 2 burner applewood propane stove with battery powered electric start feature. Accommodates a 5-11 lb propane tank, and the Dometic crx50 12v marine grade fridge.
Sink cabinet is a custom spalted maple and white oak end grain countertop with 15” wide and 10” deep sink with plenty of space for cleaning dishes. The base is a 24” custom cabinet with two soft close doors and a 5 gallon gray water tank with quick connect feature.
Ceiling is a custom slatted feature ceiling with 8 12v integrated lights and black walnut details. Ceiling also has 12v Maxxair fan which works with the rear driver Side 18” x30” sliding window with screen which when opened and fan is on creates a great airflow through the van. Ceiling is also equipped with high efficiency 12v Dometic rtx2000 a/c which will cool down van even in the peak of summer.
Van includes custom blackout magnetic window covers for the front of the cab as well as the rear windows. Black out window covers are essential for when you are parked and keeps the van significantly cooler than without them. Front of the van also is equipped with a Scopema swivel seat on the passenger side which allows seat to rotate 180 degrees and face back towards the van creating additional seating space.
Rear area of the van consists of two matching bench seats which converts into your bed with 4” beige washable custom cushions and a removable custom black walnut table which gives the back a very chill vibe being able to relax and enjoy food or drinks with friends without sitting laying in bed. Driver side 5 ft bench has ample storage compartments and holds two custom black walnut serving trays which also creates the bed platform when used along with walnut tabletop. The driver side bench also includes 3.5 ft soft closed drawer. Driver side bench also stores the Goal Zero Yeti 3000 solar generator which powers all the electrical components and makes it an extremely user friendly. Yeti solar generator is equipped with digital display screen which shows how much power you are using, bringing in and how much battery life is left based on your power consumption. It has 2 standard outlets as well as two standard outlets in the van and also as two usb ports as well as ports for charging with solar etc. This van can charge the generator when the vehicle is driving from the alternator as well as a 110v shore power charger on the exterior which you can plug into any household outlet or campsite power.
Passenger side bench houses the 21 gallon water tank with Surflo12v pump and accumulator giving you steady water pressure inside the van. Water tank has a release valve which can drain the tank if necessary as well as quick connect port for filling the tank. Bench also has a quick connect spray hose for spraying off items and could be used as an exterior shower source.
Rear of the van has been equipped with a trailer hitch and electric so you could tow a trailer or bike rack.
Everything in Camper Van #001 was custom made and I have not seen a van for sale that looks like this. This is truly a piece of art and each Carbon Based Design build will be one of a kind.
